If Hip Hop was part of the Solar System....

^That's me performing for the first time something I've written. It was such a rush and it felt amazing, the whole thing isn't recorded cuz my mom was recording it and she didn't know how to work my camera too well lol. But yea I wrote the piece for my Hip Hop Politics Class Final, it's called "Solar System".

If I were to write the word hip hop on sand the waves of the water would just wash it away see because the way I see it is that water is like Ignorance because I know if everyone knew how beautiful Hip Hop was that ignorance would dissapear.

See water is an element of this earth and this earth won’t except hip hop into her arms.

I feel like we gotta move to Saturn or maybe Uranus, I’m pretty sure that’s where the white house is located. It may change location but for now It’s there because Bush can’t stay away from Uranus but don’t worry cuz Obama is on his way to breakdancing in the streets of my world, And Politrics won’t ever step foot any where else.

Well Hip Hop has moved from something that’s out of this world, literally, to my heart.

See if my heart was a planet it would be filled with houses full of MC’s, graffiti on the side of these houses adding a touch of breakdancing on the streets and there would be no cars yea I said it, no guys rolling deep with their 30 inch rims, parking spaces would be reserved for DJ’s only.

See in my world there is no President because there would be no government, just one law to follow , Love hip hop and you will survive through anything.

This world of mine is led by pacifists, ain’t that a beautiful thing?

Yes Gandhi is alive in my world, so is Martin Luther King Jr. hell I’m bringing Bob Marley back too.

In my world Mos def is my husband, Lauryn Hill is my best friend, I chyll with A tribe called quest on a daily basis, and all ya already know my main crew Wu-Tang Clan cuz they ain’t nothing to fuck with. Jay-z is my next door neighbor and unfortunately so is Lil’ Wayne.

See my heart has been filled with tears because if you go into my world you won’t see any of this, you’ll find 50 cent getting shot 9 times, t-pain trying to buy a girl a drink, a man getting shot 50 times, women walking around half naked degrading themselves and little boys already wearing big chains with a pregnant shorty on their side.

See my world is bleeding Hypocracy because Hip Hop used to be the Love of my life. Hold up, Pause! Hip Hop is still the love of my life, though she has been a bit misguided but those waves can never wash her away from me.

Without Hip Hop this world would just be run by Uranus and ya already know the people that live there are full of shit.

But this is my world, there ain’t no water, there ain’t no other planets welcome. We are strictly living in my heart, where hip hop lives, and will always live, you know why? Cuz Hip Hop can’t stop won’t stop.
