I've been away for a while. Lot of things have happened, mainly beautiful things; which makes me have a lot of hope for this new year.
I recently had a life changing experience. I was smiling this very unfamiliar smile that has never been placed on my face. It was a tearful experience, though it was very beautiful it was too fast And it didn't give me enough time. It was majestic. Our souls intertwining between jokes and eye to eye engagements of love fluttering in a Washington heights apartment. A force stronger then the both us flowing between our souls and connecting us as 'one' within this universe. But it ended, as beautiful as it could in a Harlem train station. Our eyes making love. And our hands saying good-bye. I said thank you and so did he. It wasn't the end and we knew it but for now it's all we got. And ever since then I've been breathing differently, seeing everything differently. I thank him for that. I hope fate works to our favor if that's what is meant to be.
Besides that magnificent experience, my year ended off right.
I got a 3.9 this semester, which brought my GPA way up!
I had a great birthday with my friends and family and saw a great poetry/theatric show. Afterwards, the usual went down at my crib. the best kind of recklessness.
My students at work showed off what my co-worker and I had been teaching them this past semester and everyone loved their expo.
Had me and Safia's Birthday party at La Pregunta. Enjoyed myself. Heard some pretty crazy poetry, especially Thiahera's poem. Than you love! :) and that same night there was a snow storm, it was beautiful (btw I LOVE snow). Then we were off to my casa because our nights never end at 2 am. That night magic manifested in all corners of my apartment.
Throughout the week I worked, went to the "Hip Hop Legends" concert with a friend.
Then Christmas came, loved it. Ate a lot, laughed a lot, danced a lot, and smiled a lot.
Good weekend. Hung out with something new, we'll see where life takes us.
New Years was fun.
The party we were supposed to go to got cancelled so of course we went to my house. It was fun, reckless, but lots of fun. We just know we gotta stop playing slow jams at my crib now lol
So my new years resolutions are......
1. Continue to practice the piano so I can get somewhat good at it.
2. Continue concentrating in school so I can graduate with honors.
3. Keep learning me
4. Sleep more and procrastinate less.
5. Grow incredible faith in the universe that it will do me right this year.
6. Make some changes in my family hotel when I go to DR in Spring break.
7. Start my senior off right in the fall.
8. Love.
9. Grow.
10. Smile a lot more, there's a lot worse things happenning in the world to be frowning about my small problems.
Happy New Years!
Enjoy 2010. I have a feeling it's gonna be good, so don't look for the bad.
love & blessings.
