what we call home.

“A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams.”

I'm glad to have my own space again, I need it. I walk around this city always worried (still working on my "hakuna matata" lifestyle), always worried about class, getting there on time. Or work, how far away will the next kid i tutor live. Do I have to go do something for my mother in the bronx? I have to go downtown and get some errands done. It's all so hectic, especially when there are so many people in the streets. But then, you get there. Your final destination. The place you wanted to be at since you last left it. My home isn't much, but it's my castle, it's my kingdom where I am the Queen of it all. I find this incredible peace of mind in my living room. It's funny how it's called living room, as if we are supposed to actually "live" in this room, live our lives and plan our our lives in this room. Bedroom, a place that is full of so many more things then just a simple bed, where more then just sleep and sex go on. So much in a home, so much in my home. I'm glad and very appreciative to have it because I know there are plenty of home-LESS people in this city, wish I could open my home to all of them. maybe one day. For now, I am happy. In my home, my shack, my little piece of heaven where angels float around as positive energy, and the clouds are my pillows. The sky are my beautiful worded-musically infested-artsy tainted walls that I love to look at. my home, i hope you all have a home that you love. If you don't love it, atleast appreciate it because there are those who call the concrete ouside their couch, the street lights there lamps, and the cops are there stupid landlords. homes is truly where the heart is. I pray you have a warm home to go to tonight.

sending lots of positivity your way! :)
