Pendejada

this morning I was talking to a dominican women on my block, and she was talking to me about men. I usually don't take advice from dominican women about men, because dominican men aren't the greatest men. I love my dominican men, but some just ruin it for all of them. But anyways she was telling me about how she's been with her husband for 4 years, and "si no me doy cuenta o si nunca te encuentro con otra mujer, despues no quiero saber nada" basically saying "if I never hear of you cheating or me or seeing you cheating on my I never wanna hear about it, never confess if you feel bad about it" I'm like WHAT THE HELL!!?!?! I would want to know, in my language that women is a pendeja, someone who lets someone take advantage of them and walks all over them. I would want to know if my man, husband, boyfriend, fiance, whatever. was cheating on me, is cheating on me or plans on cheating on me cuz i'm not sticking around to deal with that, no matter how much I love you. I see this a lot in my culture, women just letting things go like that cuz there husband is working and giiving them a place to stay, taking care of the kids and "loving" them. It's not love, not at all. I really hope this generation of dominican girls, and just girls in general learn the mistakes that our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, etc. have done. Men who are kings love their queen and try their best not to hurt her. We are all Queens and we deserve Beautiful Kings.
